Introduction
This is a very rare car and hard to find exactly what you want.
I've never heard of any dealer having more than 8 of these on the lot at a
time. Most dealers will have no more than 3. You really have
to order one to get what you want and exclude what you don't want.
I
ordered mine with a whole list of options on
Thursday, January 6, 2000. Ada Wolfe was my very kind salesperson.
She was very knowledgeable about the Subaru line and Subaru's WRC history.
She explained all the options available and how long it would take to get
the car and why. It arrived at the dealership on Monday, February
28, 2000 and I picked it up on Thursday, March 2, 2000. It had
38 miles on it so it obviously had not been taken out for any reasons!
Yippee!

One
minor problem and one major problem when I got the car. The rubber
mats weren't in. No biggie. They put in the order for them
(got them a week later). They gave me carpet mats in the
meantime at no charge, which I ended up keeping. The big
problem was they had forgotten to put leather in the back seats?!?
How you could miss that, I don't know. But Ada repeatedly apologized
and gave me her PERSONAL Forester for an entire day (kept it overnight)
while they put in the new rear seats. Of course, there was no extra
charge for this and the Forester was very nice :)
